Ron originally hails from Limerick in Southern Ireland , but has lived in the UK for the last 31 years. He is married to Elaine, has 3 children and lives in North Yorkshire.
He is a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) , having trained at St Georges Hospital in London, and qualified in 1984. Ron decided very early on that his future career lay in Health Care Management, and he subsequently moved through the NHS management structure in Hospitals in London, Essex & Surrey, where he held a variety of Senior Management Posts, including Clinical Nurse manager, Sub Unit General manager, & Nursing Homes Inspector at North West Surrey Health Authority.
He moved North in 1992 to become the Director Of Elderly Care Services for an NHS Trust on Teesside, where he managed 6 hospital sites, a team of specialist Consultant Physicians & Psychogeriatricians, along with health centres and Community Nursing Services.
He moved to the private healthcare sector in the mid 1990’s, and over the years has been the Chief Executive for a number of large corporate healthcare organisations. He has operated his own care homes since 2001 when he set up a former health care group (Focus Healthcare) he sold his shares in this company in 2005. He set up Roseberry Care Centres in 2007 and owns the company jointly with his wife Elaine.

Alison is a Registered General Nurse, having completed her training in Sheffield. After qualifying Alison worked at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital for a number of years, and gained a variety of clinical experience within the NHS.
She left the Health Service to work in the independent sector primarily in elderly services, and has held a variety of positions, including RGN, sister, clinical nurse manager, deputy home manager and home manager positions.
She first worked with Ron when he acquired the care centre where she was Manager in 2002. She was promoted by Ron, initially into the position of Regional Operations Manager, and then Group Operations Manager.
The company was then acquired by Southern Cross Health Care and Alison transferred across with the homes. During her time at Southern Cross she has held a number of roles, operations manager, project management of six new builds and as the company changed its structure she has worked within the Quality Team.
As Operations Director for Roseberry Alison asumes day to day responsibility for all aspects of care service delivery, including our compliance with regulation.

Mark has over 14 years experience in the Care Sector. Between 1991 and 1997 he was deputy accountant for St. Andrews Homes Ltd before moving to Advantage Healthcare as Financial Controller where he briefly worked with Ron until January 2000. Between 2000 and 2007 he took a break from the care sector and was Financial Controller at Elddis Caravans, a motor-home and caravan manufacturer based in Consett, County Durham.
Mark joined Southern Cross Healthcare in March 2007 as a Senior Regional Accountant and spent almost 5 years with Southern Cross where he dealt with their specialist care division and also played a role in the financial integration of the groups various acquisitions. He has 2 children and his interests include cycling, he recently completed a 110 mile c2c ride across Northern England, in one day, for his chosen charity, namely Crohn’s and Colitis UK. He lives near Durham City.

Ivan is a very experienced Healthcare Professional, having worked as a Carer, Nurse, Manager and Senior Manager in the NHS for 26 years. He trained as an RGN at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and has been a registered nurse for 33 years. He gained his knowledge and skills working in various specialities including Acute Medical, Acute Psychiatry, Community Nursing, Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, and Care of the Elderly, before taking a position as a Senior Manager within Sheffield Health Authority. Within this role he was responsible for monitoring and Inspecting the independent sector which included private hospitals, clinics and care homes. He was also the Health Authority ‘Nurse lead’ in Palliative Care and Continuing Healthcare. When some responsibilities were transferred from the Health Authority to the Government Commission, Ivan joined the Commission and spent 8 years monitoring the care and service delivery in the independent sector. During this period he undertook a temporary role as a Regional Quality Manager, for the Care Standards Commission.
He worked briefly for Southern Cross for a period of 10 months as a Service Quality Inspector, before joining Roseberry Care Centres.
As the Quality Services Manager, he is responsible directly to the Board Of Directors, for monitoring and implementing improvement strategies designed to continually improve the care and service delivery throughout all of Roseberry’s Care Homes. He is also responsible for ensuring that me meet and surpass all aspects of our regulatory requirements, as required by the Health & Social Care Act 2008, and that we are delivering the specifications outlined in the Local Authority Contracts.

Len has worked in the NHS and private healthcare sectors in the north east of England for over 25 years. He started with Sunderland Health Authority as a Building Officer and looked after sites including the Royal Infirmary, Eye Infirmary, Monkwearmouth Hospital and several Health Centres.
He moved to the Freeman Hospital as a Senior Building Officer and then returned after two years to Sunderland Health Authority as the Estates/Building Surveyor with responsibility for looking after the property portfolio including site records, lease hold and freehold details as well as assisting with the sale of surplus sites and buildings and rating valuations. His involvement with the nursing home industry started when he was part of the Inspection Team for Sunderland Health Authority which registered and inspected private nursing homes.
Len started work in the private nursing home sector in 1995 for Quality Care Developments as Development Director and managed a team based in Darlington acquiring and developing sites all over the country. He then moved onto Tamaris Nursing Homes as Estates Manager looking after all aspects of their properties including statutory servicing, maintenance and refurbishment.
From Tamaris he moved to Southern Cross as Estates Director and saw the company grow from 80 homes to 750. He left Southern Cross in 2009 and worked for the North of Tyne PCT and Norland Facilities Management before he started for Roseberry in March 2012 as the Estates Manager.
Len has both technical and professional qualifications in construction and building as well as qualifications and experience in Health and Safety.

Maureen is an experienced and qualified Human Resources Manager with over 15 years’ experience in management and advisory roles. She began her career in retail management with the Storehouse Group, before joining the North East’s largest waste management company, where she was Personnel Manager for eight years. She then worked for the sector skills council for Construction, advising businesses how to develop through their people, and has also run her own business, working as HR Adviser to employers in sectors as diverse as IT, logistics, insurance and construction, as well as social care.
Maureen holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is an accredited Business Adviser. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. In 2010 Maureen completed the PTLLS teaching qualification. She is married with two children and lives near Durham City.
Maureen joined Roseberry Care Centres in October 2012. She is responsible for developing HR policy and practice, and for supporting managers across the business.

Lynn is a Registered General Nurse and completed her training in Scotland. On qualifying she worked at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, specialising in Orthopaedics and Urology, moved to Addenbrook’s hospital and worked in a variety of different cliical settings, prior to taking up a post as a Practice Nurse abroad.
On return to the United Kingdom Lynn commenced working within the Independent sector primarily in Elderly Care Services, holding Rgn, Sister, Deputy Manager, Manager and Project Manager posts.
She is responsible for the management of all homes in the Yorkshire/Humberside region, and is the lead senior manager for the development of the company's Dementia Care strategy.

Beth initially qualified as a General Nurse in 1989 in her native Scotland, and obtained her Registered Mental Nurse qualification in 1992. She has worked in Healthcare Management since 1994, in the NHS as a Ward Manager, Rehabilitations Service Manager, and in the community as a Senior Manager. She holds a teaching qualification in Clinical Practice from Leeds Metropolitan and has gained her management qualifications at Oxford (Brookes) University.
She has spent the last 12 years within the Private sector working as a General Manger for Bupa and as Clinical Services Co-Ordinator for another large corporate healthcare provider. She joined the Senior management team at Roseberry Care Centres in January 2012.
Beth is responsible for the day to day operation of Roseberry’s Care Homes throughout the North Of England. In addition, she is the lead Senior Manager for the development of the company’s “End Of Life Strategy”. She is married and lives with her husband near Darlington.
