Welcome to Walkley Lodge Care Home, our Grade 2 Listed Georgian Home has been refurbished to enable us to provide a high standard of care 24 hours a day. Our Residents have varying needs from specialist support to general assistance with everyday living. Some stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.

We provide care for those with Learning Disabilities and specialise in care for those with Autism.

Relaxing Areas

Our Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges. They watch television or perhaps listen to music in our music room. They also enjoy our landscaped garden with a patio and a summer house. All of these areas are used for relaxing and socialising and are great places to invite friends and families when they visit.

Activities

We pride ourselves on our range of activities to suit all tastes. Our Activities

Co-ordinator meets every new Resident to discuss their social interests. There’s always something going on and Residents are encouraged to be involved in the running of the Home. There is access to college courses and work placements if appropriate. Current activities include swimming, gym and leisure activities, 10 pin bowling and ice skating. Residents also access local shops in nearby, local pubs, restaurants and cinemas.

Food and Drink

Mealtimes are an enjoyable and sociable part of the day. Each one of our dining areas has tables laid with fresh flowers and linen and our menus are displayed to show the choices available. Residents are encouraged to plan, cook and clean up their meals. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day.

We have themed meals for Halloween and Christmas.

Walkley Lodge Care Home is easily accessible from Sheffield and the M1 motorway. The local train station is in Sheffield and the bus service stops close by.
